What to expect

Alberto Giacometti is undoubtedly one of the most unique artists of the twentieth century, and certainly one of the most inspired. From September 14, 2018 to January 20, 2019, the Musée Maillol invites you to rediscover the works of the outstanding Swiss sculptor. For the occasion, some fifty works by the artist from the Giacometti Foundation will be exceptionally gathered in Paris. A comparison with the sculptures of his contemporaries will illuminate in a new light the art of Giacometti. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the creations of sculptors as famous as Bourdelle, Rodin or Brancusi.
The exhibition "Giacometti, between tradition and avant-garde" is organized along a path that is both thematic and chronological. It will highlight the relationships between these sculptors at each stage of the evolution of Giacometti's style, from his youth to the years of abstraction, through the final return to figuration.

  • ** Full price 13 € **: from 26 years old
  • ** Reduced price 11 € **: young people from 7 to 17 years old, students, holders of an invalidity card, job seekers (on presentation of proof of less than 6 months), holders of the Education Pass .
  • Free for children under 7, journalists and holders of the ICOM card (upon presentation of valid proof of the current year).
  • Audioguides: € 3 extra
  • Tickets are non-cancellable, non-refundable.

Access to Maillol Museum

  • Access for people with reduced mobility: access is via a ramp, located on the left of the stairs. For your comfort, it is best to borrow accompanied.
  • Strollers are not allowed.
  • Given the strengthening of the vigipirate plan, luggage, backpack and suitcase are no longer accepted within the museum.
