Is there really a cinema more iconic than Le Grand Rex? Listed as a historical monument, the largest cinema in Europe now opens its doors to you, offering a deep dive into the world of the 7th art!
Located in the heart of Paris, behind a door on Boulevard Poissonnière, your audio-guided tour will let you explore the behind-the-scenes of this fascinating world. Fun and interactive, the tour is designed as an imaginary journey through the cinema's backstage. In the hidden corners of a landmark celebrated for its beauty, a captivating universe will unfold before your eyes. Filming set, projection room, director's office, special effects. Everything here is designed to delight both parents and children.
The cinema’s backstage will also give you a chance to learn more about the history of this iconic venue, a gem of Art Deco and the product of the brilliant imagination of architect Auguste Bluysen.

Open Wednesday, Sunday, and public holidays from 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM
During school holidays in Zones A, B, and C, open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, except on Mondays (opening from 2 PM to 6 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM)

All children must pay regardless of age, but the visit is recommended from 5 years old.

- Tours depart every 5 minutes, lasting 45 minutes
- Not accessible for persons with reduced mobility, babies, pregnant women, or those with claustrophobia
Rex Studios in a Few Words
In 1998, the Étoiles du Rex opened its doors to immerse visitors in the secrets of Europe’s largest cinema. The key moments of the Rex and its construction are depicted in images at the start of the audio-guided tour. A cult venue of the 7th Art now renamed Rex Studios, it has already welcomed over a million visitors! The visit wouldn't be complete without revealing some filming secrets. The end of the tour is even more exciting: visitors are put to the test with special effects. Immersed in a film shoot, several cinema techniques are demonstrated… with great surprises for visitors.
