What to expect
Although Franz West is often regarded as one of the most original artists of the twentieth century, his work remains relatively unknown to the general public. This extensive retrospective at the Centre Pompidou showcases over 200 creations by the Austrian artist, who passed away in 2012, ranging from his early sketches to models for his monumental outdoor sculptures. The exhibition notably highlights his "Passstücke" from the 1970s, small objects designed for interaction, allowing viewers to reveal their own neuroses and fears. Both surprising and abundant, the Centre Pompidou exhibition will delight modern art enthusiasts and newcomers alike, curious to explore this radical and authentic mode of expression. Make the most of the retrospective by booking your ticket in advance. It’s easy, quick, and without additional fees.
