What to expect
Ideally located on the banks of the river Ill, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg seduces in many ways. Its geographical location opposite Notre-Dame Cathedral, the elegance of its glass architecture and a pictorial collection representative of the artistic movements of the last century make it a mecca of culture and discovery. In a journey full of educational tools, he takes us on a journey through the great moments of modern and contemporary art. Landscapes with small diaphanous touches of a Signac, geometric shapes in the vivid colours of a Kandinsky or assembling objects to question the memory of a Boltanski, as many works that move from figurative art to abstract art, from a pictorial practice to conceptual installations.
